Lavender paper collage with art, a theater, a table setting, and a dancer.
Illustrated portrait of Shuni

Hello, I’m Shuni.

Pronounced shoe-knee. a small lesson in phonetics.

Strategist.Curator.with an appetite for culture.

follow the ideas, stay for the appetite

I connect ideas, organize complexity, and make room for discovery.

My work lives in strategy; my curiosity wanders through art, language, and the very serious business of deciding what to eat.

Selected writing

Open the whole pantry
  1. Two women, one private conversation, and a painter who lets us stand much too close.

  2. On stubborn appetites, changing tastes, and the person across the table.

  3. A personal map of New York, measured in repeat reservations and very specific cravings.

I love words deeply—especially when they refuse to behave.

I’m drawn to the quiet magic of looking closely: Chardin’s soapy bubbles, a spontaneous Luncheon on the Grass, the exact word that makes a sentence gleam.

I collect languages, linger over beautiful meals, and find small occasions for delight everywhere—from a thoughtful message to the glimmer of light on an ordinary thing.

This is where strategy meets appetite: art, food, language, and whatever else keeps asking to be looked at twice.

Selected work

I build content systems, shape narratives, and turn sprawling information into something people can actually use.
